Audrey and I were having our refreshment break this evening when she asked "do you think that girl is wearing a skirt or shorts?". I looked over and saw this girl queueing up for tea with really short skirt. So short that the skirt ends where the butt ends. A few minutes later, I saw her again. This time, she was about to throw her cup. She only bent over slightly to throw the disposable cup and I could see half of her underwear. I thought she would wear something sexier since she was wearing such a short skirt. But no, she was wearing just plain white underwear which I wonder if it was granny's underwear. I called Mao Cheng to tell him that and he asked if this girl was wearing XXXXXX and YES, we saw the same girl. He said he saw the girl's butt out of her skirt when she walked towards the lift earlier today. Wonder how come he is still winning in mahjong now. And poor me? Having fever =(
May that cat rest in peace

Baby, his mom and I walked out of the house and got into the car about to go to the Caltex nearby while I turned my head to the right and saw this cat laying in the middle of the road. I asked baby to horn and wake the cat up but it still laid there. We got out of the car to check on that cat and realised that it may have been hit by a car. Then, this Rover was approaching so we stopped the car to prevent it from running over the 'already down' cat. At that time, one of the neighbour's Schnauzer approached to check the cat out but we chased the dog away in case it decided to attack that poor cat. baby's mom moved that cat to the side of the road because there were many cars coming this way. There were so much blood on the road. I searched online for any cat welfare groups to see if anyone could help. Unfortunately, they only take in non-emergency cases. In the end, I had no choice but to call SPCA (which I was really disappointed with 10 years ago). I was surprised that they took in my call so quickly and the gentleman on the line said he will send someone over to check the cat out. Maybe SPCA is really different now. When baby and his mom came back from the petrol kiosk, I went out to check on that cat again but there was already no more breathing. I called SPCA again to inform them.

This incident reminded me of an article I read in the newspapers a few days ago. The journalist mentioned about Singapore being a pragmatic society. I couldn't agree more. Many of them say they 'don't know' or is it that they simply don't care?

I wonder who was the driver that hit the cat. Why can't the driver find out who can he/she call to help that cat?

I hope people who see any injured animals or animals that need help will call the following numbers:
Please, save these numbers in your mobile. You will never know when you may need this numbers. Who knows, you can help save a life?

You may also wish to click on the names of the societies above to know more about them. More animal societies website can be found at http://www.spca.org.sg/links/links.asp
